Heritage Leadership Academy is a 21st Century Learning Center with a modern, child-centered education system.
We offer an outstanding foundation of excellence in education, with a priority of developing the leader within
each child.

Education is the best way to ensure the future of vulnerable children. Our dream is to educate students holistically in spirit, soul, and body.

According to the most recent statistics, there are over 3 million orphans in Kenya. These are children who have no one to care for them or educate them, and as a result, Kenya is experiencing an enormous amount of wasted potential. In a desire to positively impact the lives of these desperately needy children, we began operating Heritage Leadership Academy in January 2016. Instead of just keeping these children alive, we are committed to giving them a life which includes opportunities for a good education.

Our Vision is to provide an excellent, well rounded education to these needy children so that they can live fruitful, productive lives.

The education we offer to our students is critical to raise them from vulnerability into God’s higher purpose for their lives. We want to take them beyond surviving into thriving. These children will go on to colleges, university, and meaningful professions they could never have accessed otherwise. For these children, your help means the difference between surviving or thriving.

Curriculum

HLA offers the national curriculum through a progressive and integrated approach that borrows from different systems including Christian Montessori and other international systems. This allows educators to assist the learners achieve exemplary results in their learning journey. All lessons are tailored to enable the child achieve growth physically, socially, intellectually, emotionally and spiritually.

We use the Christian Montessori Method in the Kindergarten from playgroup through PP2. This curriculum has been successfully used in many nations for over 107 years. The child will be able to learn at their pace through interacting and engaging with materials and the environment. The Christian aspect ensures that the teacher is deliberate and
sensitive to meet the need of a child on a daily basis, even when that need is only love. We are a member of the Christian Montessori Fellowship which is a community of educators and school leaders who are seeking to nurture and develop each child’s character and unique abilities.

At the Primary level, Grade 1 forward uses the Competence Based Curriculum which also encourages individual, child-centered learning and includes the tools to identify and nurture each child’s strengths and abilities. Information technology is embraced at HLA and will be an integral part of the learning process.

We also offer a variety of co-curricular activities such as swimming, football, music and Superbook Bible curriculum to enhance the holistic development of every child.

Kindergarten

Kindergarten Classes are as follows:

Play Group (Zoe) – 3-4 yr Olds

PP1 (Agape) – 4-5 yr olds

PP2 (Shalom) – 5-6yr olds

Primary

We currently offer Primary education from Grade 1 to Grade 5 using the national CBC curriculum.
